ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
As someone born and raised in Hamilton, the recent revitalization of the city has been something inspiring to witness. Getting the opportunity the last few summers to perform with my band The Revivalists at the Rivers Edge Amphitheater has always been a highlight of my year and a great opportunity to reconnect with family and old friends. The Big River Get Down will serve as a way to help increase the profile of Hamilton, while bringing something unique directly to the people of the city. Over the coming years we hope to sustain and grow this event along with the continuing renaissance of Hamilton to bolster the economy and provide yet another pillar of confidence and pride for the community.
This year, all proceeds will benefit Hamilton’s 4th of July celebration. Half of the proceeds will be donated towards the fireworks and the other half will be donated to the 4th of July concert at RiversEdge.
Venue address is 116 Dayton Street, Hamilton, OH 45011
No carry-ins, coolers or backpacks. Large purses are subject to search prior to entering venue.
No bicycles, scooters or motorized vehicles inside the venue
No soliciting or loitering outside the venue
No video recording or flash photography
No fighting. We came here to get down, not throw down. We have a zero tolerance policy for behavior which inhibits the enjoyment of the festival for other attendees. Individuals engaging in misconduct will be removed from the venue and prohibited from re-entering.
Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, however, they are not suitable close to the stage since because our bands bring spectators to their feet and have them dancing.
Our venue has limited shaded areas, so please be sure to bring your sunscreen, hats and sunglasses because it is going to be difficult to justify leaving the front of the stage.
Vendors will be on-site serving up tasty treats and refreshing beverages. Vendors include Neal’s BBQ, Oasis Wraps & Smoothies, Richard’s Pizza, Flub’s Ice Cream and beer booths serving MillerCoors products.
Free, on-street parking is available in the areas surrounding the venue. Attendees may also park in McDulin Parking Garage, which is a short, one-block stroll from the amphitheater. Entrance to parking garage is 113 North Third Street, Hamilton, OH 45011. View parking garage rates.
Parking for attendees with disabilities will be located on the street immediately adjacent to the venue. In the event transportation from the vehicle to the venue is needed, please notify venue personnel and request golf cart transport.
Dayton Street and Riverfront Plaza, adjacent to the amphitheater will be closed to traffic. Please access the venue with your vehicle via North Second and North Third Streets.
